Returning to UCA

When it is time to return to complete your degree, there are a few things you’ll need to do.

Enrol at UCA

Remember to re-enrol at UCA for next semester and select any elective units if applicable. If you have questions about your enrolment, please get in touch with Campus Life and/or your Programme Director.

Transferring your credits

Upon completing your Semester Exchange or International Study Year, you must ensure the credits you earned abroad are transferred to your UCA degree.

To do this, please email a copy of your official transcript to the Study Abroad Team at exchange@uca.ac.uk.

Accommodation

Whether you were overseas for one semester or a full academic year it is important you secure accommodation for your return. The UCA Accommodation team is here to help you - contact them at accommodation@uca.ac.uk.

Career information

It is likely that during your Study Abroad you have developed your knowledge and learnt new skills which will be beneficial to your future employment. The UCA Creative Careers team can help you present these achievements to future employers. We recommend you reach out and consult with the team at careers@uca.ac.uk.

Reverse culture shock

It is completely normal to suffer from reverse culture shock when returning home after a period of living overseas. While some students find it easy to return to life and study in the UK, others will find it not so easy. If you have any concerns about returning to the UK or are struggling to resume life in the UK, please contact your Campus Life team.

Become an exchange ambassador

Current and future UCA students want to learn about Study Abroad from you, the people who have experienced it. If you enjoyed your exchange placement and want to promote and spread the word as an ambassador, or submit a testimonial, please let us know at exchange@uca.ac.uk.
