Our Specialist Advisers can offer information, advice and guidance on a wide range of practical and personal issues. 

Each Specialist Adviser is a member of the National Association of Student Money Advisers (NASMA) and can discuss individual, financial and personal problems with you. All discussions are confidential.

If you need any help, advice or wish to book an appointment for any of the following, please contact the Gateway:

Specialist Advisers Service Statement

Specialist Advisers are available at each campus to provide information and guidance to students on a wide range of practical and personal issues. Each Specialist Adviser is a member of the National Association of Student Money Advisers (NASMA) and the University is a member of the UK Council for International Student Advice (UKCISA). Specialist Advisers are available throughout the year to see you either on a one-to-one basis or with other students if appropriate. You can either make an appointment or use the regular dropin sessions. Appointments can be booked through the Gateway desk located in the library at each of our campuses. Specialist Advisers are here to help you with any problems or queries, for example:

  • Finances
    • Budgeting and money management
    • Problems with student finance
    • Accessing hardship funds and bursaries
    • Bank accounts
    • Borrowing and debt
  • Personal or practical issues

    These can be varied but may include:
